Export License for PI-MAX
ICCD and OMA V IR detectors
Cameras
equipped with an high performance GaAs Gen
III or Gen IV image intensifier and our
OMA V InGaAs NIR camera require an US Export
License, due to the US Department of Commerce
and Energy with assistance from the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission.
Why export license? US export
control policy is an important tool to further
the national security and foreign policy
interests for the United States and its
allies like Germany. Those countries that
are in favor of strict export controls argue
that they are essential tools for limiting
the military capabilities of potential enemies,
to restrain the spread of goods and technologies
that could contribute to the proliferation
of weapons of mass destruction.
